Mike Schuppe
Mike is the owner of Professional Theatre Resources. He has spent over 25 years in the theatre as a managing director, actor, director, writer, and critic.
He received his Masters of Fine Arts in Directing at the Goodman School of Drama in Chicago and has worked in various professional theatres in Chicago and Canada.
Mike was the Managing Director of the Stage Door Theatre in Chicago which was dedicated to doing exciting and uplifting drama. Managing this theatre gave Mike valuable front line experience in helping a theatre to prosper. Recently, through Professional Theatre Resources, Mike was a sales representative for a box office company and helped install everything from web ticketing to full box office packages for more than 50 arts organizations throughout the U. S. This gave Mike valuable front-line insight into the critical area of box office operations.
Mike also spent ten years in the communications department of a major medical association. There Mike honed his business skills in finance, customer service, teambuilding, effective communications, and vendor relations.
Mike's combination of extensive experience and success in both theatre and business gives him a unique perspective on business operations in the arts.
